  • In the morning of the first day in Vietnam and Laos Family Holiday, drive about 40 kilometers outside of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the amazing Cu Chi Tunnels. As the location of several military campaigns during the Vietnam War, the tunnels were the Viet Cong’s base of operations for the Tet Holiday (Tết) Offensive in 1968. Visitors get to crawl around in the safer parts of the tunnel system. The 100-meter long tunnel (designed specifically for tourists) situated 7 meters underground was very dark, narrow, and feels claustrophobic.
  • In the afternoon, back to Sai Gon for Ho Chi Minh Sightseeing Tour by making a halt at many highlight attraction of this bustling city:
  • Former Presidental Palace (Reunification Palace) now preserved as a museum
  • – 19th century Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Old Post Office – the well examples of classical French Colonial architecture.
  • Remnant War Museum where foreigners learn about crimes committed by other country’s troops and the affection of wars, especially the effect of Agent Orange on children born after war.
  • Ben Thanh Market – great destination to buy local handicrafts, branded goods, Vietnamese art and other souvenirs. Your family will find eating stalls inside the market where you can get a taste of hawker-style Vietnamese cuisine.

  • Wake up early this morning for an exploration of the real Mekong Delta. A trip to Can Tho would not been considered finished if you miss the famous Cai Rang floating market – the biggest one in Mekong Delta.
  • Board a local boat at Ninh Kieu pier and explore the colorful Cai Rang floating market, where many boats laden with fruits, vegetables and fish jostle for trade. The best time to visit is around 6am to 7am, and it’s well worth getting here early to beat the boatloads of tourists and the heat. Sellers advertise their wares by crying out across the waters or tie their goods to a tall pole attached to their boat so that buyers can see from a distance what is being sold.
  • Relax and enjoy the cruise back to the hotel where we will freshen up before we check-out and return to Saigon.
  • After having lunch, ready for the domestic flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Danang City – a melting pot of the country’s old and new. Your family moves to Hoian Ancient Town, which used to be Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century.
  • After hotel check-in, take a walk in Hoi An town and visit the unique architectures mixed from Chinese, Japanese, French styles such as the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda, etc. When the sun sets, the pedestrian-friendly streets of Hoi An transform into a vibrant display of traditional lanterns, folk dance performances, and lit candles floating down Thu Bon River.
  • Overnight in Hoian.

It was enclosed within a square fortress (also known as the Hue Citadel), with each of the four walls about 2 kilometres long and a wide moat on the outside. All through this huge city were temples, palaces, offices, gardens, and residences. The most important bit was in the middle.
