Undoubtedly, weather is one of the determining factors for your traveling decision. In Vietnam, any time of the year can be a good time to travel because the weather patterns in each region are different basically.
Northern Vietnam: We have 4 distint seasons, Spring (February to April), Summer (May to August), Autumn (September to November), and Winter (December to January). The most stable and beautiful to travel in this region is from October to April. It is the dry season, with less rainfall than in summer and pleasant temperatures. The spring and autumn months are always pleasant time for visiting the north of Vietnam
Summer from May to August is quite hot, humid and rainny. However, this time is still considered for those who are interested in better price for low season. The average temperature around 30 – 35 degrees Celsius and may rise to 38 degrees Celsius in the peaks of June and July.
Central Vietnam: The best time to visit Central Vietnam is from mid – January to early September with hot and dry weather, temperature between 30- 33 degrees Celcius and the time between Novemeber to December. In late September and October, this region might suffer from high rainfall with storms as well.
Southern Vietnam: There are simple dry and wet season and the temperature remains high all year round. The dry season begins in November and ends in April/early May with being hotter and more humid between February and May. The wet season lasts from May to October with the months from June, July & August receiving the highest rainfall of the year. Throughout much of the wet season rainfall is generally heavy but short lasting, often occurring in a mid-afternoon heavy downpour which does not affeect to travel activities and we completely could expect plenty sunshine and clear blue sky after that.
Generally, travelling from February to April or between October and December are considered the best time to travel the whole country. The weather on that period is stable, not too hot neither too cold.

Had 10 days vietnam holiday as arranged by viet prestige travel with the help of Mr.Tuan. Our organisor at Viet Prestige (Hoa Pham) was brilliant from start to finish. She designed and arranged our 15 day tour through Vietnam & Cambodia and our expectations were exceeded in every way. She was always in contact before (and during) the trip to ensure everything was going smoothly and also went far and beyond the call of duty when my wife left her coat in a minibus coming back from Halong Bay. I contacted Thao Dinh at Viet Prestige travel to organise a private tour from North to South Vietnam for 17 days for the two of us.
